The Stand Comedy Club is looking for Technical Team Members for the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe! 

The home of stand-up comedy, The Stand venues have seen the likes of Limmy, Stewart Lee, Piff The Magic Dragon, Susie McCabe, Omid Djalili, Bridget Christie,  Joe Lycett, Paul Sinha, Mark Thomas, Miles Jupp, Sara Pascoe,  Reginald D Hunter, Ruby Wax, Larry Dean, Jo Caulfield, Richard Herring, Josie Long… and countless other comedians grace the stage over the years! And it’s not just comedy, as the programme always contains a mixture of music, cabaret, international artists, science-based comedy, Orwell Prize Winning authors, TV legends, and spoken word! There aren’t many places in the world you could watch one of the Dragons from Dragon’s Den, immediately followed by Val McDermid belting out Psycho Killer.

Job Description:

We are looking for hard working committed individuals who can demonstrate some skills and knowledge in lighting, sound and/or A/V. Successful applicants will be expected to work as part of a crack team of technicians who are responsible for building, maintaining, running, and striking the 6 venues across the New Town of Edinburgh, including the world famous Stand Comedy Club itself. This will involve the operating of lighting, sound, and A/V equipment as well as partaking in stage management duties. Entry level positions are available for those looking to get a start in event production!  

Candidates will be expected to commit to being exclusively available full-time from: July 27th 2024, to September 1st, 2024. The Stand is committed to giving all workers a healthy work/life balance. As such, working hours will allow for shift-based work in addition to regular days off. Payment is from £14.50- £15.50 per hour (depending on role.)
