Catch up to ten new acts every Monday in Edinburgh, Tuesday in Glasgow and Wednesday in Newcastle.

New voices

Some performers are treading the boards for the first time, with older hands sometimes dropping in to try new material.

Due to popular demand for slots, we use an application process for performing at Red Raw.

Before you apply

Slots are designed for newer and less experienced acts who have not performed on Red Raw previously.
This round also includes non-local acts who are more established.
Successful applicants are usually offered two five-minute slots and can request feedback.
Further stage time is not guaranteed, but we do our best to accommodate acts where possible and appropriate.
