New Directions - Dan Ward: Man Down

Dan Ward grew up in a time & place where vulnerability was a dirty word, with too many syllables to be one of the cool ones. 

But when serious illness left him fighting somewhat feebly for his life, Dan was forced to reevaluate his understanding of complex words like 'strength', 'masculinity' and 'reevaluate'.

A coming-of-middle-age story of manhood, mortality & rebirth, "Man Down" is basically Rudyard Kipling's poem "If", if it was an hour long, more working class & arguably better.

This show is a debut solo show and is directed by Lee Kyle in support of promising comedy talent in the North East.

Lee is a stand up comedian and comedy director who has worked with comedians on a number of award winning, nominated and five star reviewed shows. Some praise for his direction is below:
