The Stand Comedy Clubs in Edinburgh, Glasgow & Newcastle stand united with everyone in our industry effected by the Covid19 crisis. Many performers, technicians, promoters and venues need your help. Please see how you can help our industry survive and continue to bring you the laughter you need in your life

  • It’s been over a year since the first shows were cancelled, with no indoor shows having happened at all in Scotland and Wales, indoor gigs restricted across the UK until mid-May at the earliest, and very few gigs and tours being financially viable with social distancing in place.
  • 50% of all workers in the comedy industry have lost over half of their annual income (even when you take into account furlough & SEISS payments!).
  • 81% say their mental health has been negatively impacted by job uncertainty.
  • 50% have given serious thought to leaving comedy because of the pandemic, rising to 60% for people of colour in the industry.
  • 60% of comics have made less than 5% of their pre-pandemic income from online comedy.

Our industry is in desperate need of support, even as we move towards gigs getting back up and running. The #SaveLiveComedy Fund will provide relief to those in the industry who are most in need, from performers to promoters, technicians to tour managers.

It’s time for us to #SaveLiveComedy — by helping those who make live comedy happen!
