Freedom from Torture is the only UK human rights charity dedicated to the support and protection of torture survivors. It provides psychological and physical therapies, creative projects, forensic documentation of torture and practical assistance, and campaigns for survivors’ rights in the UK and internationally.

There are five centres in the UK, the only Scottish Centre being in Glasgow. Fundraising proceeds go towards providing therapists, translators, premises, staff salaries, and, crucially, medico-legal experts who documents forensic evidence to support a survivor’s asylum application.
