Take two top academics, some dangerous ideas, add one comedian and it’s the force of nature that is the Cabaret of Dangerous Ideas (CODI).
Hosted by comedian Susan Morrison, and now in its eleventh year, CODI is sixty minutes of rapid-fire research from some of the finest minds in the country.
Fancy a colonoscopy? Could you give us a poo sample? Science and medicine combine to ‘scope out’ what happens when your insides go badly wrong. Does what patients tell us matter in this rapidly expanding scientific world of molecules, bacteria and genetics? How do bowel conditions impact our wellbeing? In the unexplored, hidden universe of our bowels, do our guts have more to tell us than we imagine? From hospital to the lab, Dr Gwo-tzer Ho and Dr Rebecca Hall (The University of Edinburgh) take a new scientific road to investigate our bowels!
