Fair Fringe campaign Presented by Fair Pley
Featuring a fantastic line-up of comedy, music, and spoken word. Hosted by the incomparable Susan Morrison, with music from Chilean singer-songwriter, Valentina and Voces Del Sur, award-winning Glasgow Poet and writer, Victoria McNulty plus award-winning comedian, actor and writer JoJo Sutherland.
Fair Fringe is a campaign which seeks to ensure that workers receive the wages and working conditions they are entitled to as well as to drive up standards above the legal minimum. Workers make the Edinburgh Fringe but the festival doesn’t always work for them: too many Fringe workers are underpaid, overworked and poorly treated.
Unfair, precarious and unsafe working conditions leave staff out of pocket, out of energy and in dangerous situation – Fringe employers must sort it out and sign up to Unite's 'Fair Hospitality Charter'. Come and hear from Fringe workers and Unite members organising for a better Fringe for everyone.
This event will bring together workers and artists from across the Fringe to decompress and mix with others wishing to improve conditions at the World’s largest arts festival. There will also be a speaker from Unite the Union and RMT at this event.
