Native speakers? Language academies? Culture ministries and education boards? Or their users, including those speaking with effort, with errors or accents? Do languages belong to us or do we belong to them? Are they loyal servants of our will? Or do they sculpt our brains and shape our thoughts? Or is it, in fact, a mutual relationship?
