DES CLARKE - 3D
Des Clarke is a much loved performer in Edinburgh. Quite an achievement for a Glaswegian. Uniquely, Des will perform three different sets this year – each running for eight days – about the things that matter to him most. A trilogy of shows: Love, Sandwiches and the Apocalypse. Des is well known as presenter of the Capital Breakfast Show and BBC's Breaking the News. But only at the Fringe can you experience him in 3D.

SCOTT GIBSON - LIFE AFTER DEATH
Don’t miss the chance to see the debut solo show from Scotland’s hottest new comedian Scott Gibson , before it heads to Edinburgh in August for the Fringe Festival. After a total sell out and rave reviews at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Gibson’s Life After Death is regarded as the best debut show in years.
Glasgow born and bred, Scott Gibson smashed onto the stand-up scene in November 2010, quickly establishing himself on the circuit. Described by Capital FM Breakfast Host, and fellow comedian Des Clarke as ‘The best act to emerge from Scotland in years’
A storyteller at heart, Gibson mixes a conversational style with his own unique brand of dark humour. Confidently leading his audience down a path few dare to tread. This ability to push boundaries and control any room he plays, has allowed Gibson to move up the ranks quicker than many before him.
This mix of styles and natural talent has seen Gibson being hand-picked to support some of the UK's top comedians on recent tours. These include Frankie Boyle, Tom Stade, Des Clarke, Gary Little, Kevin Bridges and Daniel Sloss to name a few.
Life After Death tells the story of how it all began for Scott. It’s a story of love and life, of heartbreak and of course Blackpool
“Life After Death” tells the story of how it all began for Scott. A life changing experience put him on the path to comedy. It’s a story of pain, love, laughter and Blackpool.
‘Life After Death is a hilarious thoughtful & uplifting show, delivered with the boldness and filth that Gibson does so well’ Comedy Unit
‘A natural gifted and unapologetic story teller’ Frankie Boyle
‘Mind blowing, his delivery is exceptional’ Daniel Sloss

Heads Up

Saturday 30th July 2016

Multi award-winning Glasgow theatre-maker Kieran Hurley previews his brand new solo show ahead of its Edinburgh Festival Fringe run.
A city. Just like this. Right now. A woman staggers home after a two-day bender. A finance worker preaches doom outside Caffe Nero. A priest who doesn't believe in God stares blankly at the endless disasters on the TV news. In just one moment, all their worlds will end.
With an original sonic score by Michael John McCarthy, Kieran Hurley (Beats, Chalk Farm, Hitch), weaves a picture of a familiar city at its moment of destruction, asking what would we do if we found ourselves at the end of our world as we know it.
