Show Information

Following on the success his 2018 show, ‘Shearer Shared me Pram’ ‘a must see...’ Evening chronicle North East Comedy veteran and Stand regular Mike Milligan, is back again with his new offering - ‘On your bike Mike - Giz a Job  - Available For Work Since the Eighties!’

With a title quoting iconic Eighties sound bites about employment, Mike provides an hour of laughter and radgie-gadgie social commentary, tracing his three decades of adventure and mishap in (and out) of the world of work.

We follow his progress from the unwritten etiquette of signing on the dole, to the absurdities involved in being a Thatcher era Tampon sales rep. He reveals his tribulations as an inner city primary teacher and exposes his time as a hapless shop assistant .

We meet Mike the reluctant soldier, who is more of a danger to Britain than the hordes of the Red Army he is training to face.

His recounted experiences in the world of acting will include getting kicked off Byker Grove, singing whilst standing in Speedos on Redcar beach in January and being the best deleted scene in the ‘I, Daniel Blake’ movie! Moreover, Mike shares with us the highs and lows of decades as a hardworking stand-up comic, which round off a rich mine of memories and poignant hilarity that constitute this honest and heartfelt show.
