TOM STADE: I SWEAR TO…(PREVIEW)

Tuesday 17th July 2018

After last year's smash-hit tour, the comedy legend returns with a new show, picking up just where he left off. Welcome to 'I Swear To’; as an hour just wasn't long enough. Tom knows the times are a-changing and he wants time to know he won’t be changing with them. Join him as he navigates his way through FaceTime and feelings. Exactly when did he, and all his stuff become vintage and why didn't he see it coming? Armed with his usual swagger and playful sense of mischief, Tom ponders these generational conundrums and more. As seen on Live at the Apollo – twice, bitches!
'Mischievous, high-spirited, no nonsense stand-up from an expertly skilled pro' Chortle
'Rock ’n' Roll comedian. Absolutely box fresh. Nothing is staid about Stade' Eve Standard

Lee Kyle's White Elephant Stall

Sunday 22nd July 2018

Lee Kyle , the regular host of our kids show, brings a family show where anything can happen.
I mean, within reason, he's not going to split an atom or anything.
The show will be different each month, sometimes it'll be a game show, sometimes a quiz, sometimes improv, sometimes a chat show. Sometimes there will be guests, sometimes there won't. Maybe it'll be a musical one month! Sometimes, Lee won't even be there and there'll be someone else doing the show instead - but they'll be awesome too!
No matter what, it's going to be brilliant man. Come along, don't be a square.
Best suited for 8-12's. Sorry, no under 5's and all young comedy fans must be accompanied by an adult.
Fancy a Sunday Roast? Why nor book a table in our Bistro upstairs for after the show? We also do Kids Sunday Lunches for only £5!
Hot food available in the club or why not treat yourself to some pre-show dining at The Stand Bistro open Mon/Tues from 5pm (show nights only), Wed-Sat from 11am and noon on Sundays.

Rahul Kohli - All My Heroes Are Dead, In Jail or Touched Up Your Nan

Sunday 22nd July 2018

Rahul Kohli grew up with many heroes. He now realises all of them are or if not will be exposed as homophobes, sex pests, Nazis and perhaps even homunculi secretly harvesting human lives in an attempt to attain a Philosophers Stone. As a result, he now has no heroes, and treats everyone as potential Nazi-paedophiles (I’m looking at you).
From his favourite wrestler Hulk Hogan to the football club Newcastle United, to even his political champion Gandhi.
But was everyone that ever lived truly a horrid bag of shit? Or are societies standards changing at an exponential rate humanity is just not ready for yet?
Explore this question with a man who knows what he’s talking about (He accidentally befriended a paedophile two years ago, no shit!).
P.s, it’s that everyone that ever lived was a bag of shit, including you… as a matter of fact, especially you. BUT COME FIND OUT WHY: 5.30PM, THE STAND 22 JULY,
As seen on BBC Big Asian Comedy Night.
As heard on BBC Radio 4, 3 & Scotland.
NATYS 2017 Winner.
