WILSON DIXON in FOR THE FIRST TIME. AGAIN.

Sunday 1st July 2018

EVERYONE’S FAVOURITE COUNTRY SINGIN’ COWBOY PHILOSOPHER RETURNS TO SCOTLAND FOR THREE SHOWS ONLY!
'Deadpan delivery of some of the funniest songs you'll ever hear...' Time Out
After 9 long years, the award winning Wilson Dixon returns to the Stand in Edinburgh and Glasgow for three very special shows in July 2018. Bringing his unique brand of laconic storytelling, his oddball observations of life and his hilarious songs, Wilson will be performing his most recent show: For The First Time. Again.
'His laconic storytelling is an inspired combination of sidesplittingly funny observations peppered with zinger one liners' TV3, NZ
Wilson’s laidback country lifestyle is coming apart at the seams…
Not only is he feeling artistically constrained by the limitations of country music – three chords aren’t enough chords for a song about terrorism or neoliberal monetary policy – he’s also living next door to his ex-wife Maureen who’s making it very difficult for him to meet new women. And she’s opening his mail.
'One of the finest bits of character comedy you'll find on the Fringe' Scotsman
So Wilson hits the road and clears his head, but when he falls in love he needs to make a big decision: does he bring her back to a claustrophobic and potentially dangers domestic environment? And what will his angry horse Andrew make of his new love?
'It's a reminder of how a comedian at the absolute top of his game can be in complete control of a show: and how good it can be to be in an audience carried along on that wave' Sunday Star Times, NZ
3 X BARRY AWARD NOMINEE (Melbourne International Comedy Festival).
FRED AWARD WINNER FOR BEST SHOW (NZ International Comedy Festival).
STAR OF THE WILSON DIXON LINE (BBC Radio 2).

Chris Henry - Around the World in 80 Dates

Sunday 22nd July 2018

Award nominated Scottish comedian Chris Henry has toured the world and made audiences laugh for years. This years tour has him looking for "THE ONE". Henry's hilarious tale of how he is still single at 40 is a hysterical account of putting yourself out there on a global scale.
The story of man tours world, man realises he would be happier with someone, man seeks partner to go on global adventures with, is a classic that audiences have been flocking to. With sold out shows across Australia and Asia, this is a show that you wont want to miss.
Chris Henry started his career in entertainment as a Butlins Red Coat, until he packed it in after six years discovering that he couldn't sing or dance. That old-school no-nonsense/all-nonsense influence has bled through into his style of stand-up, which is refreshingly unpretentious and focused-on-the-funny. Leaving the caravan parks behind, he has become a headliner on the U.K. comedy circuit, dazzling clubs with his honest anecdotes and flirtacious observations that toe the line of decency with masterful control.
