Every Monday in Edinburgh, Tuesday's in Glasgow and Wednesday's in Newcastle, catch up to ten new acts – some treading the boards for the very first time.
This is where everyone starts and it’s your chance to see the stars of tomorrow today. Watch out for older hands dropping in to try out new material too.

Edinburgh & Glasgow: We're processing existing applications now and for first time slots on Red Raw in Edinburgh and Glasgow and once we've worked through these were looking like being fully booked up until September 2012. Acts can drop out all the time so drop us an email and we'll be in touch as soon as we have any slots. Use the info below on how to apply.
Newcastle: Our Newcastle venue opened in October 2011 so we'd love to hear from you if your locally based and would like to try performing stand-up for the very first time or are a more experienced act looking for slots slot there, we've got slots free from March 2012 for Newcastle. Red Raw try-outs for away acts: You can come and perfrom at one or all three of our venues, If you are an away act we usually schedule 2 away acts on each show, sometimes more if say a few of you would like to travel up together. We book these slots in advance but it's a good way to get seen and then hopefully put in longer slots in the future. We’re processing requests for slots now and again it's looking likely we'll have booked these in up until September 2012. Use the info below on how to apply.
PLEASE NOTE: We get lots of emails but we do reply to every single one of them. It can take us some time, so if you don't hear back then it's fine to email and check if we've received it. Us getting back to you is reliant on us having spaces on the show. If we don't we'll have to wait until we do before you get one. It's not helpful to keep calling our office or resending emails e.g. receiving 30 emails and 5 calls from one act in a period of 2 weeks just holds everything back, meaning, in turn, it takes longer for us to respond to everyone. We know it's frustrating so we'll try to make the process as quick as we can.
