Jeff Kreisler's speciality is Comedy Against Evil. Winner of the Bill Hicks Spirit Award for Thought-Provoking Comedy Kreisler, Jeff, who recently performed live with real '08 contenders, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards, attacks American politics and culture with passion, absurdity, and hope...

Jeff Kreisler '08: A hard-fought campaign to make the world better through humour (or if not better, at least, funnier). One man. One-liners. One month of chances to hear the bright comic voice of hope without illusions.

At the vanguard of a new generation of satirists born from the traditions of San Francisco, New York and Boston, Jeff brings political stand-up into the present, brandishing an upbeat sense of possibility that gives a deceptively stealthy, subversive impact to his laceratingly funny observations of America's place in the world.

His absurdist comedy is a blend of commentary, social insight, and unpredictable weirdness with focused, self-deprecating, theatrical, hilarious rage about the erosion of democracy and the future of our culture.

Kreisler collaborated with Spinal Tap's Tony Hendra and Monty Python's Terry Jones on the controversial new parody, My Wall Street Journal, and is a cast and writing staff member of Daily Show-creator Lizz Winstead's Shoot the Messenger. He's also author of the upcoming Harper Collins book, Get Rich Cheating and a writer for Comedy Central and CNN.

He's been showcased at this year's Glasgow International Comedy Festival, as well as the Freedom Cinema, New York, and San Francisco Comedy Festivals. He's worked with legends like Dick Gregory, Robin Williams, and Greg Proops, appeared numerous times on CBS, Sirius, and Air America radio networks, moderates Democracy In Crisis on QP Television, and has been profiled by Current TV.

Less brittle, but no less angry, than those that have come before; Kreisler's an ex-lawyer, Ivy League graduate, smart, funny and handsome.

Here's the thing - you'll love spending time with him even as you despair of the world as seen by his uncompromising eyes.

Giving lie to the myth of American stupidity and unilingualism, Jeff plays blues saxophone, speaks French and Russian, broadcasts sports, played college football, taught English in Russia, started a non-profit dedicated to at-risk youth, and now lives in New York City.

Jeff Kreisler loves asparagus.

So, be good citizens and vote with your feet by attending, and enjoying, Jeff Kreisler '08
