Des Clarke is
one of the UK's most exciting rising stars. He has made a name
for himself as both a highly successful comedian and as one of
television's hottest young presenters.
At 24, he has already performed sell-out shows at the Edinburgh
Fringe Festival in 2003/4 and for the Glasgow International
Comedy Festival in 2004. He has played all over the world,
with appearances in New York and Dublin Comedy Festivals
also under his belt.
Des beat thousands of hopefuls to
be asked to host ITV1's Saturday morning programme SM:TV Live.
Recent television work has included Invention SOS for
Discovery and Sky One's youth show, Whatever and he was delighted
to be asked to anchor BBC Scotlands live Children In Need
this year.
In addition, he won the
prestigious British Radio Awards 2004 - Presenter Of The Year
for his weekday morning show on Beat 106 FM.
