Gerry McDade

Gerry is a graduate from The Stand’s own Velvet Virgin class of 2002 and has since gone on to become a familiar face on the Scottish comedy scene.

In a varied career he’s had the time to work in radio for TALK107 and BBC Scotland, develop as an after-dinner speaker, a voiceover artist, a script and gagwriter (for Off The Ball and The Why Front amongst others) as well tending to the locks of ‘the ladies’ as a killer west coast hairdresser!

He can often be seen performing The Stand and Jongleurs. Comedy has taken him all around the country giving him the chance to insult people of all persuasions. Just like Elvis, he doesn’t read reviews. Unlike Elvis, he’s made it past 42!
