Devlin's Daily is a handy and shamefully entertaining tasting menu of
all that's great and good at this year's festival. Let The Stand's cult
compere Bruce Devlin gently guide you through a smorgasbord of surprises
which might whet your appetite with an aperitif of African drumming,
warm you up with a hearty main of mime and cleanse your palate with a
sharp sorbet of satire. And there's no need to watch your wallet and
just stick to a side salad because the whole shebang is absolutely FREE!
Yes, just put your feet back and digest- we've put the leg work in for
you, scouring the Fringe for the big hitters and hidden gems in order to
present you with its richest pickings. From the truly acclaimed to the
truly alternative, this is the Fringe in all its eclectic glory.
Under Bruce's watchful eye, you can guarantee proceedings will never get
sluggish. A master of off-the-cuff humour and audience banter, he'll
keep the pace whipping along with hot Fringe gossip, candid guest
interviews and his own deliciously skewed views of the day's news and
events.
Last year Bruce unleashed his devilishly sharp tongue on the likes of
Richard Herring, Jim Bowen, Jo Caulfield and Tommy Sheridan, and played
host to such musical guests as Eddi Reader, Michelle McManus and Tony
Blair: The Musical.
